The English defender will play for the Premier League side until the end of the current campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ben Godfrey makes his return to the Premier League six months after his move to Italy as he will wear the Ipswich Town outfit. The former Everton player, who has not seen much game time in the Serie A, joins the newly promoted side on loan until the end of the season from Atalanta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The defender had been linked to a move back to England after making just five appearances in all competitions under Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini and has now become the Blues&#8217; first signing of the January transfer window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been an exciting couple of days and I\u2019m just delighted to have signed and can\u2019t wait to meet the lads and get started,\u201d Godfrey told &#8216;TownTV&#8217;. \u201cI have really enjoyed speaking to the manager (Kieran McKenna) and to have the opportunity to work under him now is something I\u2019m very excited about&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019ve watched a lot of the games from the first half of the season and you can tell from those that the group is a tight one, full of players giving everything to achieve their goals.
