If he ever decides to retire, I&#8217;ll call him and tell him not to,&#8221; Roberto Carlos said. &#8220;He represents so much\u2014for clubs, for the national team and for children starting out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Even if he played on one leg or crawled, he should keep going. He gives so much energy to the next generation.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Brazilian legend added that Ronaldo&#8217;s record-breaking exploits continue to inspire. &#8220;For those who love him and football, seeing him make history and break records is wonderful. Pele scored 1,000 goals, but Cristiano can join that exclusive list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I see him happy and confident in the Saudi league, and I&#8217;m certain he&#8217;ll reach that milestone. He hardly ever gets injured and remains a role model for everyone.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the prospect of a World Cup final between Portugal and Brazil, Roberto Carlos said: &#8220;It would be beautiful. It&#8217;s never happened, but there&#8217;s always a first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Portugal can beat anyone\u2014they have a leader like Cristiano, a strong midfield and an excellent coach.
