Real Madrid defender Dean Huijsen urged his side to target victory in every remaining fixture, acknowledging the scale of the task following their hard-fought win over Alaves.
Dean Huijsen, the Spain international defender for Real Madrid, insisted following Tuesday’s 2-1 victory over Alaves that his side must “win every match” and “fight for the league title, however difficult it may be.”
“We have to win every game. Ultimately, we know it is difficult, but we must fight for the title, even if it is a massive challenge,” he told Real Madrid Television.
Los Blancos narrowly overcame Alaves on Tuesday evening in a contest where both Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius found the back of the net, with the latter notably offering an apology to the supporters during the match.
“We started the match very well, but then our levels dropped at times, which I don’t think should be happening to us,” he declared. “We managed to secure the win and we’re pleased with the three points. Alaves are fighting for survival, giving 100 or 200 per cent, and we have to match that intensity.”
