The Brazilian forward has returned from the 2026 World Cup and is preparing for a decisive meeting with the Real Madrid president. According to Tribuna, the two parties remain far apart in contract renewal negotiations.
The future of Vinicius Jr at Real Madrid remains uncertain. According to Tribuna, citing journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon, the Brazilian international is set to meet with president Florentino Perez in the coming days in a meeting considered decisive to try and break the deadlock in contract renewal negotiations.
According to the same source, the Merengue club has presented an offer in the region of 20 million euros net per season, but the player’s representatives are demanding a higher salary. The gap between the two parties currently stands at six to ten million euros, which is why no agreement has been reached yet.
The Real Madrid board remains firm in its intention to preserve the squad’s salary structure, considering that a very significant increase in Vinicius Jr’s wages could create difficulties for future renewals of other key figures in the team. Even so, the club believes it will be possible to reach an agreement, provided both parties are willing to compromise. According to Tribuna, the meeting between Florentino Perez and the player could be the deciding factor in the outcome of these talks.
