In a message posted on social media, Fede Valverde reassured Real Madrid supporters that the dressing room is “more united than ever” despite recent outside noise.
Uruguayan midfielder Fede Valverde, one of Real Madrid’s captains, has delivered a defiant message a day after the club’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Olympiacos in the Champions League. The win came after a three-match winless streak, with the player stating the squad is “more united than ever”.
“After a week where a lot was said, we are more united than ever,” the Uruguayan international stated in a message posted on his social media channels. He added that “having Vini and Mbappe is a privilege, but being part of the best and most committed team in the world is an honour.”
Valverde added that on a personal level, he is “working to get back” to his best form and asserted that ‘Los Blancos’ manager Xabi Alonso has always been by his “side, supporting and doing everything possible for me to continue growing and helping the team.”
“It’s not always easy, but the coaching staff and the players are more united than ever,” the midfielder concluded. His message was endorsed by teammate Vinicius Junior, who replied, “My captain.”
