Monaco forward and former Barcelona star Ansu Fati previews the 2026-27 Primera Division, warning that Real Madrid will be fired up following a period of Catalan supremacy.
“Real Madrid will be harbouring a grudge because FC Barcelona have swept up the silverware in recent years,” Ansu Fati told ‘AS’, as he looked ahead to a mouth-watering La Liga title race. “FC Barcelona are assembling a formidable squad, while Mourinho has returned to a Real Madrid side that is recruiting exceptionally well…”
The forward also opened up about his departure from the Catalan giants, which was made permanent this summer. “When I signed for Monaco, it was a bittersweet moment. I spent so many years at FC Barcelona and left behind many close friends. Those initial days were difficult, but that is the nature of the game,” he admitted.
Looking to the future, Ansu Fati has set his sights on a recall to the Spain national team. “It remains a primary objective. I have to keep working hard and ensure I am fit for almost every match. If I can maintain my fitness, I am convinced I can rediscover my best form,” he concluded.
