Sevilla secured the services of Youssouf Fofana on loan from Milan during the last summer transfer window. The 27-year-old French midfielder hit the ground running in Spanish football, swiftly establishing himself as an instrumental figure for the Nervión outfit, who currently sit fifth in La Liga table.
Fofana’s stellar performances have certainly not gone unnoticed. According to Segundo Tribuna, Manchester United have been keeping close tabs on the midfielder, deploying scouts to monitor several of Sevilla’s fixtures, both home and away.
The English club’s mounting interest could scupper plans for Sevilla, who are keen to secure his signature on a permanent basis. Constrained by limited financial leeway, the Andalusian side may find it difficult to rival a potential offer from Manchester United.
