According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan and Mike Maignan have reached a full agreement for the French goalkeeper to extend his contract until June 2028, with an option for a further season. The deal will see the goalkeeper’s salary rise to €5 million net per year.
With all documents finalised, the only step remaining is Maignan’s signature to make the extension official. This renewal underscores Milan’s confidence in their star shot-stopper, who played a key role in their 2022 Serie A title-winning campaign, earning the league’s Best Goalkeeper award.
Maignan has also been a key figure for the French national team and remains a vital part of Milan’s defensive setup. Despite the occasional setback—such as his rare error in the 2025 Champions League clash against Feyenoord—his performances have been crucial to the club’s ambitions.
By securing Maignan’s future, Milan continue to build stability in their squad, reinforcing their commitment to competing at the highest level domestically and in Europe.
