Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis announced Antonio Conte’s continuity on his social media profiles. Minutes later it was the ‘Partenopeo’ club that confirmed the good news.

Italian Antonio Conte, Napoli’s fourth ‘Scudetto’ winning coach, will continue at the Italian club after reaching an agreement with the president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, who announced on Thursday the continuity of the coach.

“Full steam ahead. Stronger than before,” posted the president of the Campania region outfit on his official ‘X’ account alongside a photo of the title celebration with the Italian coach, who has a contract until 2027.

12 minutes after launching that message, Napoli itself shared the manager’s post and launched a video announcing the continuity of Conte, who has returned the ‘Gli Azzurri’ to the top: “Cont Te Ag4in!”.

The official announcement comes after a three-hour meeting in Rome that ended up bringing the two parties closer together. It is the second meeting, because last Tuesday, after the meeting with Pope Leo XIV, the two held another long conversation to clarify the future, always accompanied by other important parts of the sports management.

In the last days of Serie A, Conte always left up in the air his continuity when he saw things he did not like about the club, such as the management of the winter market in which they did not replace the departure of the Georgian Kvaratskhelia. In fact, there was speculation that he would return to Juventus.

De Laurentiis, for his part, avoided pressuring the coach publicly, something he did on other recent occasions, such as the departure of Luciano Spalletti, the coach who won the third ‘Scudetto’ in the club’s history.

The more than likely arrival of the Belgian De Bruyne to the team, competing in the Champions League next season and the promise of a good market, finally convinced the coach to lead a project that aims to maintain the level and not to fall like last season, when they finished tenth.
