FC Barcelona have agreed personal terms with Athletic Club winger Nico Williams to sign a contract until 2031, although the ‘Cules’ are still working on reaching a financial agreement with the Basque club for the Spanish winger.
It seems that Nico Williams’ transfer saga with Barcelona will finally come to an end. Although after the Catalan club failed to land him last summer and the player renewed his contract with Athletic Club, it seems that his future remains at Camp Nou.
The Catalan club has reached an agreement on personal terms with the Spain international, who will earn a salary of between 7 and 8 million net per season, making him one of the highest paid players at the club managed by Joan Laporta.
Nico Williams will sign a contract with the ‘Cules’ until 2031 although the Catalan club is still working on reaching an economic agreement with the Basque team for the transfer of the young Spanish star.
Although Bayern Munich and other top European clubs were interested in signing him, the Athletic Club winger has always prioritised a move to Barcelona, where he will be able to share a dressing room with his friends from the national team such as Pedri, Alejandro Balde and Lamine Yamal.
