Joao Cancelo addressed Al Hilal’s draw against Real Madrid. The Italian coach highlighted his team’s character, while the Portuguese described the draw as “fair” in the Saudis’ debut in the Club World Cup.
Portugal’s Joao Cancelo said on Wednesday that the draw between Real Madrid and his team in their debut in the Club World Cup was “fair” after a first half in which he maintained that they were “far better” to the Merengue club.
“I think it was a fair result for what happened in the match,” Cancelo told the media in the mixed zone after the game.
According to Cancelo, the Saudi side were far superior in the first half, in which they enjoyed the better chances, while the second half “was more balanced.”
“It’s very difficult to play against Vinicius, Rodrygo, Bellingham…, we played against the best players in the world in one of the best teams in the world,” he said.
