Lamine Yamal continues to send an ambitious message regarding FC Barcelona’s season, which has had its ups and downs. He believes the return to Camp Nou will be key to righting the ship.
Lamine Yamal collected the Di Stefano award, recognising him as La Liga’s best player last season, according to ‘Marca’. The winger aims to keep adding titles and awards, but is also focused on the collective effort in a campaign where he hopes Barcelona can compete for every title until the end of the season.
“All individual titles indicate that it was a great season for the team. For me, it’s a source of happiness and pride. Accumulating awards at my age is a very positive thing. I will continue to work and fight to achieve things like this,” said the Spanish international.
Lamine is confident that the move back to Camp Nou can make all the difference: “The fans matter a lot. We’ve been playing in a stadium that wasn’t ours. Montjuic was fine, but it wasn’t what we wanted. The Camp Nou will be a great support for everyone and will add a lot for the remainder of the campaign.”
With 2026 presenting a new opportunity to continue winning titles with Barca, the World Cup with the Spanish national team, or to aspire to the biggest individual awards, Lamine Yamal is very clear: “I want everything. Hopefully I can achieve it and, as long as we can play, it’s possible to get it – the Ballon d’Or.”
