The teenage midfielder has emerged as a top priority for Unai Emery, yet the Catalan giants are refusing to entertain offers for the La Masia graduate.
Aston Villa are determined to reinforce their midfield before the transfer window shuts and have identified Marc Bernal as a primary target. According to The Sun, manager Unai Emery views the 19-year-old as a perfect fit for his project and is pushing the club’s hierarchy to sanction a move.
The same reports suggest the West Midlands outfit are readying an offer in the region of 35 million euros to secure the Spain youth international. Per Fichajes, this interest comes after the La Masia graduate was also linked with Manchester City, further highlighting the player’s soaring market value.
Despite the intensifying interest from the Premier League, FC Barcelona are maintaining a firm stance. Marc Bernal, whose current deal runs until 2029, is considered an integral part of Hansi Flick’s plans for the new campaign, and the Catalan giants have no intention of entertaining negotiations for one of their most gifted academy prospects.
