
FIFA has announced the nominees for The Best awards in both the men’s and women’s categories. The candidates for best goalkeeper, best coach, and the fan award have also been revealed.
FIFA has unveiled the list of nominees for the The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025, which will honour the standout stars of the year in both men’s and women’s football, across clubs and national teams. Voting is now open on FIFA.com, where fans can cast their votes in all categories, as confirmed by the organisation.
The eleven nominees for The Best Men’s Player are: Ousmane Dembélé (PSG/France), Achraf Hakimi (PSG/Morocco), Nuno Mendes (PSG/Portugal), Vitinha (PSG/Portugal), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich/England), Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid/France), Pedri (Barcelona/Spain), Lamine Yamal (Barcelona/Spain), Raphinha (Barcelona/Brazil), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool/Egypt) and Cole Palmer (Chelsea/England).
In the women’s category, the 17 contenders are: Sandy Baltimore, Nathalie Björn, Aitana Bonmatí, Lucy Bronze, Mariona Caldentey, Temwa Chawinga, Kadidiatou Diani, Melchie Dumornay, Patri Guijarro, Lindsey Horan, Lauren James, Chloe Kelly, Ewa Pajor, Clàudia Pina, Alexia Putellas, Alessia Russo and Leah Williamson.
The eight nominees for The Best Men’s Goalkeeper are: Alisson Becker, Thibaut Courtois, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez, Manuel Neuer, David Raya, Yann Sommer and Wojciech Szczęsny.
For The Best Women’s Goalkeeper, the nominees are: Ann-Katrin Berger, Cata Coll, Christiane Endler, Hannah Hampton, Anna Moorhouse, Chiamaka Nnadozie and Phallon Tullis-Joyce.
In the race for The Best Men’s Coach, Luis Enrique Martínez (PSG), winner of the Champions League, will compete against Hansi Flick (Barcelona) and Mikel Arteta (Arsenal). Also in contention are Enzo Maresca (Chelsea), Roberto Martínez (Portugal), Arne Slot (Liverpool) and Javier Aguirre (Mexico National Team).
The nominees for The Best Women’s Coach are: Sonia Bompastor (Chelsea), Jonatan Giráldez (Washington Spirit/Olympique Lyon), Seb Hines (Orlando Pride), Renée Slegers (Arsenal) and Sarina Wiegman (England).
The Fan Award will feature the late Manolo el del Bombo, the iconic Spanish supporter who followed the national team around the world for decades, alongside the fans of Zakho FC (Iraq) and Alejandro Ciganotto, the Racing Club fan who famously walked from Argentina to Rio de Janeiro to watch the Copa Libertadores semifinal against Flamengo.
National team coaches and captains from FIFA’s 211 member associations will vote for their top three choices in each category. Journalists and registered fans on FIFA.com can also take part in the voting process, which closes on November 28.
FIFA’s website also features the nominees for the FIFA FIFPRO Men’s World 11 and Women’s World 11. Later this year, on a date yet to be confirmed, the nominees for the FIFA Puskás Award and the FIFA Marta Award, celebrating the best goals of the year, will also be revealed.
