Barcelona are actively seeking a way to keep Marcus Rashford beyond the current season, aiming to negotiate down Manchester United’s reported €30 million asking price.
Fresh from lifting the Spanish Super Cup, Barcelona are already planning ahead. Securing the future of the British forward, currently on loan at Camp Nou until the end of the season, remains a top priority.
The Catalan club have held several meetings with Manchester United, exploring ways to retain Rashford while reducing the Red Devils’ financial demands.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are also considering another loan deal for next season, potentially including a conditional purchase option.
Rashford has made his preference clear: he wants to remain at Barcelona and is reportedly not entertaining offers from rival clubs.
Although his contract with Manchester United runs until 2028, the Premier League side are reportedly eager to offload him to reduce their wage bill and improve financial flexibility.
Barcelona have already made their intentions explicit. Sport recently reported that sporting director Deco met with Rashford’s agent in Saudi Arabia to discuss the player’s future.
The No.14 has quickly become a key figure under Hansi Flick, contributing seven goals and nine assists in 27 appearances so far. With five months of the season still remaining, his influence is expected to grow further.
