Real Madrid player Dean Huijsen spoke to the media ahead of the last-16 clash with Juventus. The centre-back referred to the packed schedule, to which he replied that there is no other solution and that they will do everything they are asked to do because he loves the sport.
Dean Huijsen has been one of Real Madrid’s sensations since his arrival. The centre-back has adapted perfectly to his new club and, ahead of another game, the player analysed the tie against Juventus.
“I think they specialise a lot in defending there. They work a lot on it. I’m very grateful to them, I’ve learned a lot,” he began.
On his good level and the compliments: “I don’t look at the messages too much. I keep playing and I’m happy that people think I’m doing well. I’m happy, but there’s always room for improvement. Tomorrow I hope you can see that margin”.
Huijsen has no key to his great adaptation: “My secret is that I don’t care. I play football and it doesn’t matter.” He didn’t reveal anything about Mbappe’s return: “You’ll see tomorrow, but I think he’s fine.
“It’s the way it is. I have to play and that’s it. Whatever they give me, I’m going to do it. I like to play football,” he said of the packed schedule.
Finally, Huijsen admitted that the team’s motivation is not about the prize money: “We play for the pride of winning and there is a plan. We want to lift the trophy. We are Real Madrid and we always have to win.
