Paul Pogba, Monaco’s new signing for the 2025-26 season, was accompanied by streamer Speed and spoke about Marcus Rashford’s arrival at Barca. The Frenchman, who shared a dressing room with the Englishman at United, congratulated the Catalan giants on their move.
It is an open secret that Barca have closed the deal for Rashford. The England striker arrived in Barcelona in the early hours of Sunday evening to finalise the final details and Paul Pogba, who played alongside him at United, spoke about his former team-mate’s move.
He did so in a conversation with streamer Speed, who visited the brand new Monaco signing in the city of the Principality: “It’s crazy. I’m happy for him because they took his number. United are losing a great player. It’s great for Barca, to be honest.”
“I’m not even talking about United, because they signed some players and the new coach (Amorim) wants to impose his style, I guess. It’s not his fault. If he doesn’t believe in someone… They need to win at the end, you know? If he doesn’t play well and they don’t win, they will criticise him for sure. I’m happy for Marcus,” he said.
Pogba, who is close to returning to the pitch after an 18-month ban for doping, shared a dressing room with Rashford for six seasons. The pair played 195 games together, with the Red Devils winning 100, drawing 49 and losing 46.
