Nottingham Forest have officially confirmed the appointment of Oliver Glasner as the club’s new head coach, entrusting the Austrian with leading the next phase of the club’s long-term project.
Glasner arrives at the City Ground with one of the strongest managerial reputations in European football, having built a career around attacking football, player development and consistent success.
During his two-and-a-half years at Selhurst Park, the Austrian guided Crystal Palace to their first major honours, winning the FA Cup, the Community Shield and the UEFA Europa Conference League before leaving the club at the end of the 2025/26 season.
Club officials have highlighted his ability to develop talented squads and implement an ambitious style of play as key reasons behind the appointment, with the Austrian expected to play a central role in shaping the team’s future.
Speaking after his arrival was confirmed, Glasner said: “I’m delighted to join Nottingham Forest as head coach. From my very first conversations with the owner and the leadership team, it was evident to me that they have a clear vision for this football club and complete trust and belief in me and my staff to build a strong future together over the long term.
“That trust and shared commitment, together with the potential that I see within the squad, were key factors for me and I am excited about what we can achieve together.”
