Real Madrid has opened disciplinary proceedings against Tchouaméni and Valverde following the training ground incident, and the club promises to announce the final decisions soon regarding the case that has shaken the Merengue locker room.
After all the tension generated by the latest incident between Tchouaméni and Fede Valverde, Real Madrid has decided to take action and announced the opening of disciplinary proceedings against both players.
In an official statement, the club explained:
“Real Madrid C.F. announces that, following the events that occurred this morning during the first-team training session, it has decided to open disciplinary proceedings against players Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni.”
The club also added that “it will inform, in due course, of the resolutions of both proceedings once the corresponding internal procedures have been completed,” leaving the final decision open for the coming days.
According to the Spanish press, the situation in the locker room is considered very complicated, following a new episode between the two players. The newspaper Marca reported that the conflict began when Valverde refused to greet Tchouaméni, following a previous argument that involved pushing.
From there, Spanish media indicate that the atmosphere worsened with aggressive challenges during training, culminating in a new confrontation in the locker room. During the altercation, Valverde reportedly suffered an accidental head injury after hitting the corner of a table, which caused a laceration and required him to be taken to the hospital.
The club held an emergency meeting with the squad and management while also confirming the Uruguayan’s medical report: cranioencephalic trauma, with a recovery period of 10 to 14 days, meaning he will be sidelined for El Clásico and the remainder of the season.
